Introduction: The collection includes print and non-print materials to cover all aspects of the health science curriculum, which includes human growth and development, diseases, nutrition, the body, and family living education. The print collection is housed in the Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Fiction sections of the library. The following pathfinder will assist 8th grade Life Science students in completing a project on the human body systems. The inquiry questions are set up fo students to work in groups to complete research on one body system.

Questions for Inquiry:

How does the system function and what job does it do to keep the body healthy? What special kinds of cells are found in the body system? What are the major organs of the system? Do any diseases affect the system? Does the system work with any other body system to keep a person healthy?
